Lynn. KW's have two expansion valves... one at the front heater box, and the other in the box in the sleeper. They are pressure activated. That's probably the problem. Kinda tough to replace... especially on older models. The threads like to seize and twist the pipe of the evap. Remember the ac a truck only cools to about 20 below the out side temp so if it's 120 it's only cooling to 100. Actually that's true for most home air conditioners, but not normally for vehicle air conditioners.
